Pembroke Pines Elementary School was temporarily placed under a precautionary lockdown Wednesday morning as authorities searched for suspects in the area.
Pembroke Pines police said Miramar police officers were also in the area near the school at 6700 SW Ninth St. and is the lead agency involved in the search.
It's unclear who police were looking for or why, but Local 10 News was at the scene as at least two people were placed into the back of a police cruiser.
Police said the lockdown was lifted shortly before 9:45 a.m. and units have since cleared the scene.
No other details were immediately released.
