Netflix customers’ bank information targeted by email scam

The last thing subscribers should be doing is "Netflix and chill" with the latest scam targeting users' bank account information.

The new phishing scam uses emails that appear to be from Netflix, warning subscribers their accounts are currently on hold due to a billing error.

To get their accounts back in order, the memo urges users to update their bank information by sending it to an email address or fake website.

Netflix subscribers are being warned to not click on any mysterious links, and to contact the company directly if they believe there are issues with accounts.

WGN reports Netflix will never ask for personal or payment information to be sent over email.
