Four people were arrested Sunday after deputies said they stole more than $800 worth of fishing equipment from Dick's Sporting Goods in Jensen Beach.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office said the thieves left the store in a stolen vehicle, then crashed and flipped the car while driving recklessly.
Deputies said three men and one juvenile were able to escape the overturned vehicle near the entrance of the Coquina Cove off Martin Downs Boulevard in Palm City, and ran from the area, but they were all tracked down and caught.
The Sheriff's Office said William Gladden, 18, the driver of the vehicle, is charged with leaving the scene of a crash and property damage. Mark Anthony Robles, 29, is charged with grand theft and grand theft auto. Kory McMullen, who had an open felony warrant for violation of probation, is charged with possession of drugs. The three men were taken to the Martin County Jail.
The 17-year-old juvenile suspect is charged with resisting arrest without violence and faces additional charges, deputies said. He was taken to the juvenile detention center in Ft. Pierce.
The Sheriff's Office said the four suspects are from Pompano Beach.
