No one injured in TD Bank robbery in southwest Miami-Dade, police say

Police were called Tuesday morning to a bank in southwest Miami-Dade after it was robbed, authorities said.

Miami-Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said authorities were called about 11 a.m. to a TD Bank branch on Southwest 74th Avenue and Bird Road.

Zabaleta said no one was injured during the robbery. He said it is unclear whether shots were fired, which was initially reported.

A perimeter was established in the area as authorities searched for the robber.

Sky 10 was above a white van at 117 S. Dixie Highway shortly after noon as it appeared officers took at least one person into custody.

The van had a Zak the Baker logo on the back doors.

The FBI has taken over the investigation.
