Print Osage Nation Museum hosts Book Signing & Reading of “The Night Life” by Osage Poet Elise Paschen

PAWHUSKA, OKLAHOMA – The Osage Nation Museum (ONM) and the WahZhaZhi Cultural Center will be hosting a book signing and reading of  “The Nightlife” on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the ONM in Pawhuska. The book is a collection of poetry by Elise Paschen (Osage). Russ Tall Chief (Osage) is the invited guest speaker. Tall Chief is the Director of Student Engagement, Inclusion, and Multicultural Programs at Oklahoma City University.

who is also the daughter of world renowned Prima Ballerina Maria TallChief (Osage).

Joy Harjo, winner of the Academy of American Poets’ Wallace Stevens Award stated in her review of “The Night Life,this collection, which is graced by the moon and stars, is Paschen’s best. As she says in a haiku: ‘I entered the room / of this life to discover / time had come to move.’ And we are here, being moved.”
