Nashville Predators advance to Stanley Cup Final

The Nashville Predators beat the Anaheim Ducks 6-3 in Game 6 of their Western Conference Final series to advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in franchise history.

Waiting for Nashville will be the winner of the Eastern Conference Final series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Ottawa Senators.

Pittsburgh holds a 3-2 lead in that series after Sunday's 7-0 victory and can close it out with a win in Tuesday's Game 6 in Ottawa.

If necessary, the Penguins and Senators would play a Game 7 Thursday in Pittsburgh.

The Stanley Cup Final is set to begin on Memorial Day in either Pittsburgh or Ottawa and would run through June 14 if it goes seven games.
