Police release images of car involved in Wynwood crime

Miami detectives released images on Tuesday of the getaway car an armed robber and his two accomplices used to commit crimes in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood.

Their victim was still recovering at Jackson Memorial Hospital, after he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest during a robbery on Northwest 26 Street near Second Avenue.

The trio took off in a Buick, Regal with left front fender damage by the driver's door and a black driver side mirror, according to Miami police spokesman Christopher Bess.

The shooting was in the area where Frank Hamma, an Miami Ad School student from Sweden, was shot twice during a robbery last year. He suffered wounds to his abdomen and a bullet was lodged in his spine.

Bess was asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
