Man shot to death in northwest Miami-Dade

Police on Sunday night continued to investigate a deadly shooting in Northwest Miami-Dade.

The shooting happened earlier in the day in the Brownsville neighborhood, near Northwest 23rd Avenue and 56th Street, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Neighbors said the victim, a 37-year-old man, was riding his dirt bike when he was killed in a drive-by shooting. Police have not confirmed that information, nor have they released the victim’s identity.

Witnesses said they heard nearly a dozen shots.

A man who identified himself as the victim’s father, Robert McCloud, spoke with Local 10, as did one of the victim’s cousins, Harrell Henton, who is a minister.

The family named the victim as Robert Henton.
