2 killed, 1 injured when armed person opens fire on car in Miami-Dade, police say

Two people were killed and one was injured early Sunday in a shooting at 2526 NW 97th Street.

The Miami-Dade Police Department said four people were sitting in a blue Saturn just before 2 a.m. when an unknown person walked up to the car and began shooting.

Police said the driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger, Dwight Parks, 34, died of his injuries at a hospital.

The MDPD said a passenger, Cepheus Quientin, 33, was wounded in the arm, but is listed in stable condition, while a third passenger, Harriet Earns, 35, was not injured.
