Five People Killed in Crash on Rosebud Indian Reservation

ROSEBUD INDIAN RESERVATION — Five people were killed on the Rosebud Indian Reservation on Sunday afternoon. Mellette County Sheriff Mike Blom the accident occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Blom said a pickup truck with three occupants from Wisconsin was westbound on Highway 44 when it collided with a mid-size sedan with seven passengers heading north on Highway 63.

Five of the passengers of the car died in the crash. One of the occupants was a baby. Two of the passengers were injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
