Funerals Set for Three Men Killed in Accident on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation

PINE RIDGE INDIAN RESERVATION – The funerals for the three men were missing for over 16 days on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation have been set. The three died as the result of an automobile accident.

The bodies of Juan Lamont, 24, Tevin Tyon, 21, and Tyrell Wilson, 23, were discovered in a car that was some 75 feet below an unpaved road near a ravine with the White River running through the area.

Juan Allen LaMont “Juany” was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on November 7, 1991. He was the first born son of Stepheny LaMont and Raymond Raygoza.

Juan Allen LaMont is survived by his daughters, Milaunia LaMont and Juanesssa LaMont and also his unborn child. He is also survived by his parents, Stepheny LaMont and Raymond Raygoza; fiancé, Chelsea Zimiga; his little brother, Ricardo Raygoza; grandmother, Gaylene Tyon and great-grandmother, Sybil Hernandez.

Tryell Tre Wilson was born on August 16, 1992 in Pine Ridge, South Dakota to Steve Wilson and Jessica Mesteth.

Tyrell is survived by his mother, Jessica Mesteth of Pine Ridge, SD; father, Steve Wilson, Sr. of Pine Ridge, SD; fiancé, Morgan Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD; children, Taylor Wilson and Kendall Wilson both of Pine Ridge, SD; siblings, Steven Wilson, Jr. and Koal Wilson both of Pine Ridge, SD; grandmothers, Linda Mesteth and Mary Wilson both of Pine Ridge, SD; great grandmother, Alberta Mesteth of Kyle, SD; and his beloved dog, Chester.

Tyrell was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Wilson.

Tevin joined the National Guard and was committed to his 155th engineering company out of Rapid City, SD. Tevin was deployed to Kuwait in August of 2015 and returned home in April 2016. Tevin was very proud to serve his country and was promoted to Specialist SPC-4 in January of 2016.

Tevin is survived by his mother, Dorothy Tyon of Pine Ridge, SD; his father, Jodie Plenty Wounds of Batesland, South Dakota; sister, Nikita Valdez of Pine Ridge, South Dakota; brothers, Jodie and Lyle Plenty Wounds of Batesland, South Dakota; maternal grandparents, Ben and Clementine Tyon of Pine Ridge, South Dakota; paternal grandfather, Pete Plenty Wounds, Sr.; godparents, Louis Tyon, Sr. of Park City, Utah, Charleen Eagle Elk and Suzy Mesteth of Pine Ridge, South Dakota; special friend, Kiona Hopkins; nieces, Beyonne Rose and Leyna Jaslene; nephew, Chevy Cruz; and godsons, King Tyon and Dayton Eagle Bull all of Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
