"The Office of Cannabis Medical Access coordinates the development of and administers the new regulatory approach permitting individuals to access marihuana (cannabis) for medical purposes. The Office also coordinates other Health Canada initiatives related to marihuana (cannabis) including research on the safety and effectiveness of marihuana used for therapeutic purposes and the establishment of a reliable Canadian source of medical research grade marihuana."
