Grueling Democratic Primary season continues in Mississippi next

BBSNews 2008-03-08 -- With a strong showing in Wyoming today Senator Barack Obama won the Democratic caucus there by a projected margin of 59% to 40% against challenger Senator Hillary Clinton.

CNN reported a projected win with 91 percent of the precincts counted in Wyoming where Obama clinched the Democratic caucus race. There are eighteen delegates in play in Wyoming, it is estimated that Obama has a slight lead in the Wyoming delegate count, seven to five as pledged delegates. The count is rounded out with six super delegates going into the Democratic National Convention August 25 in Denver.

The next contest is in Mississippi on March 11 with forty delegates at stake and then the candidates will have more than a month to campaign prior to the Pennsylvania primary on April 22 where a much larger number of delegates are at stake, 188, with thirty of those super delegates.
