At 500 Pm Pdt...0000Z...The Center Of Tropical Storm John Was Located Near Latitude 27.8 North...Longitude 112.9 West Or About 50 Miles... 80 Km...Northwest Of Santa Rosalia Mexico.

John Is Moving Toward The Northwest Near 7 Mph...11 Km/Hr. On This Track...The Center Is Expected To Remain Near Or Over Baja California Tonight And Early Monday.

Maximum Sustained Winds Have Decreased To Near 35 Mph...55 Km/Hr...With Higher Gusts. Further Weakening Is Likely...And John Could Dissipate Within The Next 24 Hours.

The Estimated Minimum Central Pressure Is 1002 Mb...29.59 Inches.

Rainfall Totals Of 3 To 5 Inches...With Isolated Maximum Storm Totals Up To 18 Inches...Are Possible Over The Central Baja Peninsula.
