Oglala Tribal Police Officer Killed on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation during Domestic Dispute

PINE RIDGE INDIAN RESERVATION – The FBI confirmed on its Twitter account that an officer with the Oglala Sioux Tribal police was shot and killed after what is termed a domestic dispute before dawn on Saturday morning near Kyle, South Dakota.
According to tribal officials, the FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety are investigating the case.
The FBI advises that there is no threat to the public at this time. The name of the slain officer was not released by press time.
