Man in wig, sunglasses robs BB&T Bank in Hialeah, FBI says

A man who investigators believe was wearing a long, curly wig robbed a BB&T Bank branch Thursday in Hialeah, authorities said.

FBI spokesman Jim Marshall said the man entered the bank at 1455 W. 49th St. at 4:57 p.m. Thursday and demanded money from an employee.

There were customers inside the bank at the time, but no one was injured, Marshall said.

Marshall said an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Anyone with information about the thief's identity is asked to call the FBI at 754-703-2000 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
