Authorities cut car’s roof to extricate crash victim on Hallandale Beach Boulevard

A major two-vehicle crash was reported early Thursday in front of the Local 10 news station in Pembroke Park.

Authorities were forced to cut the roof of one of the vehicles to extricate a victim following the crash at 3700 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd.

The other vehicle, an SUV, did not appear to be as badly damaged.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue officials said two people inside the sedan were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.

Authorities said the driver of the sedan had neck and back pain, while the passenger, who had to be extricated from the car, had chest and pelvis injuries and is listed in serious condition.

No other injuries were reported.
