A 27-year-old man is accused of abducting a 16-year-old girl near the Homestead Air Reserve Base, the Miami-Dade Police Department announced Friday night.

Authorities were searching for Elmer Helcias Tiu Carreto and his silver 2002 Toyota Celica with Florida tag 708YLP.

Miami-Dade detectives identified the girl as Glenda Agustin-Juarez and said they believe she is in danger. She weighs about 120 pounds, is 5 feet 2 inches tall and has long black hair with blond tips, police said.
