Homeless man killed in sword attack in Lake Worth

A homeless man was killed on Saturday in Lake Worth in a violent attack with a sword, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said they found the victim dead around 4 p.m. near the train tracks at North 7th Avenue. They also found a 3-foot sword near the victim, who was not identified by police.

After conducting interviews, deputies arrested another homeless man, 51-year-old George Livingston, and charged him with second-degree murder.

Deputies said Livingston had a fight with the victim before the attack.

Livingston is currently being held without bond in the Main Detention Center in West Palm Beach.
