Body found in car that caught fire at Bicentennial Park

A body was discovered Tuesday morning inside a car that caught fire at a North Lauderdale park.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Joy Oglesby said deputies were called to a vehicle fire at Bicentennial Park about 5 a.m.

Oglesby said after firefighters extinguished the flames, authorities found the body of a male inside the car.

A view from Sky 10 showed the charred car with its doors and trunk open. An ax could be seen on the ground nearby.
