Highway reopens after barricaded subject taken into custody in Miami-Dade

Police have reopened a major South Florida highway after a man who barricaded himself in a truck was taken into custody.

The Don Shula Expressway (SR-874) in Southwest Miami-Dade had been closed off in both directions, as was Sunset Drive between Southwest 88th Avenue and 92nd Avenue.

The unidentified man was threatening to commit suicide while sitting in a black pickup truck near railroad tracks just off the highway.
