Two swimmers were rescued near Haulover Inlet on Tuesday after they encountered rough waters, firefighters said.
Miami Dade Fire Rescue Fireboat 21, along with Haulover Marine Patrol and Haulover police rescued the swimmers.
The swimmers were on board a 35-foot cabin cruiser when they went for a swim at about 5 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said.
They were overcome by strong waves.
Neither swimmer was in need of additional medical care after the rescue, firefighters said.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue advises that all safety gear, including safety vests for everyone traveling, be checked and on board your vessel.
