An Opa-locka police officer was arrested Monday night in the city of Miami, authorities said.
Opa-locka Police Chief James Dobson confirmed that Officer Stanley Jean-Francois has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation as well as an internal investigation.
Records show that Jean-Francois faces an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charge.
