North Miami has issued a boil water order for its residents as a precautionary measure.
The order was issued due to a main break, according to a media release.
The order is set to remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
Those in the impacted areas are being urged to boil water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth and washing clothes.
Water should be heated until its at a rolling boil for one minute.
As an alternative, bottled water can also be used.
