GRAND RAPIDS – Under a bright blue sky, the 56th Annual Traditional Grand Valley Lodge Powwow kicked off on Saturday afternoon with a grand entry with dozens of dancers entering the dance arena on the banks of the Grand River at Riverside Park, north of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Attendees are treated to American Indian food, such as Indian tacos, frybread, wild rice soup, corn soup, along wiht other menu items.
Powwow continues until dusk on Saturday and on Sunday, 12 noon – 6 p.m.
