Hurricane Irma shelters: Robert Morgan Educational Center is at full capacity

Officer Kerensa Smith was among the police officers helping evacuees move their belongings to a bus Friday, after they were turned away from the Robert Morgan Educational Center.

Miami-Dade County police officers closed the gate of the shelter, and officers were telling families arriving to the shelter that it was at full capacity. 

Miami-Dade County residents were preparing for the hurricane to hit as a Category 4-5 storm.
