Teen suffers gunshot wound in Miami-Dade’s Opa-locka townhouse

Hours after a 16-year-old Miami Jackson Senior High School student was killed in a shooting, detectives were investigating another shooting involving a wounded teenager Saturday.

Police officers surrounded a townhouse at 2263 NW 136 Terrace in Opa-locka, after Miami-Dade Fire Rescue airlifted a shooting victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.

Opa-locka Police Chief James Dobson said three teenagers were inside the townhouse when the shooting happened.

Dobson said police officers were questioning two teens and a 16-year-old victim -- who was shot in the abdomen --  was undergoing surgery at JMH.
