Woman’s body found in Pompano Beach lake, deputies say

A man who was fishing with his family at a Pompano Beach lake Sunday afternoon found the body of a woman in the water, deputies said.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the 1100 block of Southwest 46th Avenue around 2 p.m.

Deputies said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

BSO homicide detectives and the Broward County medical examiner are working to identify the woman.
