Fatal south Miami-Dade shooting under investigation

Miami-Dade County police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Friday in southwest Miami-Dade.

Grace Frazier, 22, was shot and killed shortly after 9 p.m. in the 12000 block of Southwest 218th Street.

When police arrived to the shooting scene, they discovered a silver Nissan Altima that had crashed into a tree.

Officers then discovered two women who had suffered from gunshot wounds, a media report said.

A preliminary investigation showed that the two women in the Altima, Frazier and Brittany Clay, 20, were shot before the crash, police said.

Both women were sent to Jackson South Memorial Hospital where Frazier was pronounced dead.

Clay was shot in the left leg and is expected to recover.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
