Hazmat team called to federal courthouse in downtown Miami

Firefighters are investigating a white powder scare at the federal courthouse in downtown Miami.

Miami Department of Fire-Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll said the white powder was reported at the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. U.S. Courthouse on North Miami Avenue.

A hazardous materials crew was called to the scene.

Local 10 News reporter Glenna Milberg said six people were decontaminated after coming into contact with the white powder.
