PINE RIDGE INDIAN RESERVATION – On Monday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released details of a Saturday night accidnt on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
Five people died in the single vehicle accident. The FBI released the names of the five victims: 13-year old Jeremy Little, 10-year old Mato Siers, 4-year old Wiyan Wastewin Decory, 10-year old Jennae Swift Eagle and 66-year old Wanda Siers.
The preliminary investigation shows the fatal crash ocurred approximately 10 miles south of Red Shirt, South Dakota when the driver of a minivan lost control and rolled into a ditch alongside the road, according the FBI.
The driver, 19-year old Wallace Little, survived. The FBI says 9-year old Niomi Little, 12-year old Mila Siers and 2-year old Else Decory all survived the accident.
The FBI, the federal agency that investigates deaths on tribal lands, says the case is being investigated to determine whether any criminal conduct resulted in the deaths in the accident.
