AKWESASNE – On July 6, 2017 members of Ironworkers Local 440 erected the first piece of steel for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s new Administration Building located on Business Park Road in Akwesasne, New York.

When completed in September 2018; the 54,700-square-foot building willprovide one central location for community members to access tribal government offices. Thebuilding is being constructed by Bette & Cring, whose bid complies with the Tribe’s Native Preference Policy to utilize a skilled Mohawk workforce of no less than 40 percent.
