The flames were burning close to an Exxon gas station. Florida Power & Light wires caught on fire.
Extinguishing the dangerous fire in Northwest Miami-Dade on Friday night was a team effort, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
Workers at the gas station shut down the pumps. An FPL crew disconnected the power supply to the wires. Firefighters got to work.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lt. Felipe Lay said no one was injured. The cause of the fire remained under investigation on Saturday morning.
