Man found shot to death at Holey Land Wildlife Management Area

A man was shot Wednesday evening at a state wildlife management area near the Broward County and Palm Beach County line.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a shooting about two miles west of U.S. Highway 27 shortly before 6:30 p.m., sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera said.

When deputies arrived, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound.

The discovery was made on Holey Land Wildlife Management Area property.

"At this time there is no known motive or suspect information," Barbera said.

Detectives were investigating the shooting.
