A 3-year-old boy was shot Wednesday night in Mangonia Park, just north of West Palm Beach.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said deputies were called to a shooting in the 800 block of West Tiffany Drive about 9:30 p.m.
Barbera said deputies discovered that a group of people were standing outside when the child was struck by gunfire.
A family member drove the victim to a nearby hospital. Barbera said the boy is expected to survive.
"Witnesses could not provide any information on the shooter," Barbera said.
A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
