2 arrested, 1 sought after BSO chase ends in Hollywood

Two people were arrested and one person is on the run after a police chase ended in Hollywood, Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gina Carter said.

Carter said deputies spotted the vehicle about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Dania Beach.

She said authorities ran the tag and discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen.

Carter said the driver refused to stop for deputies and struck a deputy's patrol car while fleeing from authorities.

The vehicle eventually stopped in the area of North 40th Avenue and Johnson Street in Hollywood.

Carter said three people bailed out of the vehicle, but two were quickly apprehended.

One person remains on the loose.

No deputies were injured during the chase.

Deputies and K-9 units were searching the area, looking for the third suspect.

Anyone with further information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
