Teen killed, 2 others injured in crash off Florida’s Turnpike, family says

One of three teenage brothers from Alabama was killed in a crash off Florida's Turnpike in southwest Miami-Dade County, family members told Local 10 News.

A white Honda crashed into trees early Saturday morning near the Southwest 112th Avenue exit.

Family members at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center told Local 10 News that a 17-year-old boy was driving the car. They said two other boys, ages 14 and 13, were also in the car. They said the 14-year-old died at the hospital.

The father of the 17-year-old said his son has a broken pelvis. He said the teens were in South Florida visiting relatives.
