A man killed his estranged wife and then fatally stabbed himself Wednesday during a domestic dispute, Miami police said.
Police said the woman was getting out of her car at about 5:15 p.m. when she was approached by her estranged husband near Miami Avenue and Northwest 58th Court.
The two got into an argument, police said, and at one point, the man slashed the woman's throat with a knife and then stabbed himself.
"We received the call that it was a very violent dispute," Miami police spokeswoman Yeltiza Cedano said. "What we know at this time is that they are estranged. They were married, but separated. They have a child in common."
The woman was found dead at the scene.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he died, police said.
The identities of the man and woman have not been released.
