A 10-month-old child was injured Friday morning when some debris from a partial roof collapse landed on the baby, Hialeah Fire Department Capt. Cesar Espinosa said.
The baby was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center with some facial injuries, Espinosa said.
No other injuries were reported.
Espinosa said rain is believed to have caused a part of the roof at 767 W. Second Ave. to collapse.
Building inspectors were evaluating the structure to make sure it is safe before residents are allowed to return.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to six families, 15 people in all.
