Small plane’s nose gear collapses while landing in Marathon

A small airplane's nose gear collapsed Thursday afternoon while it was landing in Marathon.

The incident was reported at 1:10 p.m. at Florida Keys Marathon International Airport.

Monroe County spokeswoman Cammy Clark said two people were aboard the single-engine Cirrus SR22.

No injuries were reported.

Clark said the plane and debris were removed from the runway, which reopened at 2 p.m.
