Key Biscayne police officer involved in crash

An investigator with the Key Biscayne Police Department was in a crash Tuesday, but the officer and two other people involved are expected to be OK, the police chief said.

The wreck took place near Crandon Boulevard and Key Colony.

The officer hit a car with two people inside, police Chief Charles Press said.

Everyone involved was taken to Mercy Hospital. None of the injuries were serious, Press said.

Investigators have yet to determine exactly what led to the crash or who is at fault.
