84-year-old injured in southwest Miami-Dade hit-and-run crash

An 84-year-old Florida City man was injured Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run crash in southwest Miami-Dade County, police said.

The crash was reported shortly before 6 a.m. at Southwest 268th Street and Tallahassee Road.

Miami-Dade police Detective Marjorie Eloi said Reynaldo Teseda was crossing the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle as it pulled out of a nearby gas station.

Eloi said the driver of the vehicle didn't stop, instead speeding north on Southwest 137th Avenue. She said the driver is known to frequent the gas station.

Teseda was taken to Jackson South Community Hospital in stable condition.
