Boy, 6, hospitalized after jumping into pool, hitting head in Fort Lauderdale

A child was taken to Broward Health Medical Center after being found face down in a pool Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

Fort Lauderdale police said the 6-year-old boy jumped into the pool at 522 NE First Ave. and hit his head. He was breathing but unresponsive at the time he was taken to the hospital.

Police said the boy is now in stable condition.

No other details were immediately released.
