Man fatally stabbed in southwest Miami-Dade

By the time Miami-Dade police arrived, it was too late for Raul Beatriz.

A 45-year-old man was lying on the ground outside a liquor store at Bird Road at Southwest 114th Avenue.

Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said the fight started in  the liquor store.

"He was approached by another male, they walked out," Zabaleta said. "There was some sort of physical confrontation, then the suspect flees the area."

Beatriz died after being stabbed.

His attacker fled the area.

Detectives are hoping someone can recall anything that could help them figure out who killed a man and why.

"Somebody had to see a vehicle drive away erratically, somebody running, or  riding a bike," Zabaleta said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
