Investigators seek information after man shot to death, Miami-Dade police say

Investigators are asking for the public's help for information after an incident on the Dolphin Expressway that resulted in a man shot to death, the Miami-Dade Police Department said.

Investigators said Keith Rolle, 40, was involved in a minor single-vehicle crash while traveling east on State Road 836 at NW 45th Avenue.

Police said the Florida Highway Patrol and Miami Fire Rescue personnel responded and found Rolle unresponsive and covered in blood.

Rolle was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where police said he was later pronounced dead.

The Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined Rolle died as a result of a gunshot wound, police said. The investigation was turned over to the Miami-Dade Police Department's homicide bureau.

Police said investigators are seeking assistance from anyone who was traveling east on S.R. 836 on the night of the incident, which happened around 11:39 p.m. April 7. They are urging the community to provide information regarding any suspicious behavior on the roadway around the time of the incident.
