Man shot in Miramar driven to hospital by friend

A man was shot Tuesday in an incident that was possibly gang-related, Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues said.

According to Rues, police responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the area of 2900 Buttonwood Ave.

Rues said officers heard multiple gunshots in the area and believe that the gunman fled into Miami-Dade County.

Rues said police received a second call, and the caller told them that a man had been shot in the area and his friend was driving him to a hospital.

No arrests have been made.
