American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association Seeking an Agritourism Consultant

ALBUQUERQUE – The American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA) is looking to grow our tribal agritourism support programming for tribal members, tribal businesses and tribes.  We are looking for an agritourism consultant to work with AIANTA on a project that will identify and connect with tribal agritourism operations across Indian Country.  Travel is required.

Tribal Agritourism Consultant Project Overview

1) Research agritourism programs and businesses in AIANTA’s six regions (Alaska, Pacific, Plains, Southwest, Midwest and Eastern) (thirty identified, five per each of AIANTA’s regions).

2) In partnership with NativeAmerica.travel staff, provide outreach to identified tribal agri-tourism programs and businesses to identify tribal models for replication, assess technical assistance and training support needs (3 case studies) and introduce NativeAmerica.travel as a marketing tool for agritourism itineraries/products.

3) Prepare three tribal agritourism case studies for the following format use:  live presentation at AITC 2017 and summaries for use on www.AIANTA.org and in brochure/hard-copy summary format for distribution at events and training sessions.

4) Research and identify content for six blog posts regarding tribal agritourism products, training and educational opportunities.
