OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON – Donald Trump captured enough votes to become the 45th president of the United States on Monday as electors in all 50 states voted in the Electoral College on Monday, December 19, 2016. He will be sworn into office on January 20, 2017.
Faith Spotted Eagle, an avid defender of protection of American Indian sacred sites and the environment, gain one vote for president of the United States. The vote came from Robert Satiacum, a tribal citizen of the Puyallup Nation, cast his vote Spotted Eagle. She has worked tirelessly to defeat the Dakota Access pipeline and the Keystone XL pipeline.
