Chickasaw Nation to Open Annual Meeting & Festival with Stomp Dance

– The Chickasaw Nation will kick off the 2016 Annual Meeting and Festival with a social stickball game beginning 7 p.m. and a traditional stomp dance 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Kullihoma.

Everyone is welcome to the event which offers traditional song and dance, food and fellowship amid the natural and historic beauty of Kullihoma.

Seating will be supplied, but attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs. Food and refreshments will be served at 10 p.m.

Kullihoma is located 7 miles northeast of Ada on state Highway 1. Watch for the Kullihoma exit signs.
