CANNON BALL, NORTH DAKOTA – Since August 10, 2016, when the arrests began at the Dakota Access pipeline construction site, the number has grown tremendously at the Sacred Stone Camp.
Some have estimated the number of supporters to have grown to 4,000. This number is a changing number because some supporters have come and gone because of employment and education responsibilities. People have come from all directions to be part of Indian Country and even First Nations in neighboring Canada.
With the large number of people, the needs have increased and supplies are needed to accomodate the supporters:
On Sunday, organizers released a list of supplies needed. They include: water, generators, batteries for lanterns, tarps, cots, propane, fire wood, rope, towels and tents.
